2 bears in a few days. Seems like maybe the same party involved.

This is just stupidity at its finest. As if there isn't enough that ethical hunters have to deal with in this day and age, some idiot goes and does something like this, which will undoubtedly paint all hunters the same. Stupid Stupid Stupid

I do not condone poaching of any kind.

But,There needs to be a hunting season for these animals.

Until that issue is resolved the number of people taking matters into their own hands will continue to escalate.

i don’t agree with bears being wasted, but have said for a long time it’s gonna happen. Because the government lies to the people and puts them at risk, those who are out having to deal with the bears lose respect for the law.

Such a shame when there could be a sustainable licensed hunt that would provide money for conservation and remind the bears to stay away from humans.

40-45 future moose calves gave a standing ovation.

But per the article they're a threatened species so this may have been the only griz for hundreds of square miles.

Story for the first bear, and look who’s offering a reward

https://globalnews.ca/news/4463263/a..._campaign=2015

Wouldn’t be surprised if ol’ black dually himself shot both. A poacher complaining about poachers, global should really check the people they interview.

I wonder if the bears were just shot and left or if their gallbladders were removed? Seems like a waste for sure.

They will never open a grizzly season.

Its counter productive.

This type of incident ensures it.

You cant eventually ban hunting altogether if you re-open a season.

Just like you will never get to hunt with a handgun. That would legitimize handguns. Thats the last thing they want.

No grizzly season? Bears still get shot. Big news. Outrage. Its perfect for the anti hunters.

If I was an anti hunter, Id shoot grizzlies too. And sheep in Jasper. Hunters always get blamed. Its a win-win

Hit the nail on the head twice! Period.

You will never again be legally able to shoot a grizzly bear in Alberta.

Want to place a bet on that? It won’t happen...

Sustainable licensed hunt for sure.
Bear shot in self defence, killing live stock is justifiable but the killing and leaving to rot just because is the doing of a criminal whether there is too many bears or not enough.

Personally I don't see what's with all the hype. A few years ago some pecker head was going around shooting deer, elk and moose around my area and just taking the heads. Why should a shot and left grizzly receive any more attention then any other wildlife?

Totally agree and thats why you are gonna start seeing more of this stuff .. an over abundance of bears is going to make more conflicts inevitable . Take these prairie bears for example , anytime we see 4 grizz 50 miles from the mountains someone out here is liable to take exception to them in amongst livestock and they will get dumped . Government and the no hunt idea is totally at fault .
