Default Archery and rifle

This is the first time I have held ,shot or hunted with a compound bow. Can I harvest an elk in archery season . Then harvest an elk in rifle season in the same year and WMU.

No you cannot you can only hold one general tag for whitetail.one general tag for mule deer if zone has general season not many left and one for general elk. But archery In some zones allows you with archery gear more time to hunt as well as harvest a Antleress elk though.just got to follow the regulations on the zone you wish to hunt.

Read the regs, be sure and reread the regs or your season might not be a good one. Even when getting opinions here, reread the regs, did I say, read the regs...good luck and enjoy the quest.

Better not be using a rifle.

The OP stated in the same year in the same WMU

You could take an antlerless cow in 212 with your bow, then a bull in a different zone and then.....in the late 212 antlerless draw you could shoot a cow with your shotgun, muzzleloader or crossbow.

Oh I fully understand the regulations and seasons in 212.

The OP asked if you could shoot an elk in archery season and then in the same year and same WMU could you shoot another elk with rifle in the general season.

To my knowledge this is not possible.
