Default Red deer river info please

I’m heading out to the red deer river for a float this weekend. What species are around in the content bridge to Drumheller section? I just want to narrow down what tackle I bring rather than weigh down my kayak too much.

I have heard the river is very low right now.
The back bone riffle is more like a dam apparently.

That's good for fishing, more fish concentrating in deeper holes.

I believe we’re starting at Trenville park which is downstream of Backbone if I’m not mistaken. Which I very well could be.

Goldeye will hit any small spoon or spinner. Try any beaver dams you see for some small Pike... Walleye will be in the gravelly sections, sometimes in skinnier water than you think. Good luck!
