Default Ward's gun auction.

I did buy a gun at the last Ward's auction and got an ok deal. When I picked up the rifle I inquired on the costs to the seller. I wonder why anyone would sell a "good" gun through auction when the cost is 30% of sale price, Then the auction charges 15-20% to the seller? Wow, I should have got into the auction business. lol

I can just go there with my FAC and bid on anything? Does anyone know where these guns come from?

I’m not sure you were told correctly about commissions
Usually between 10-15% on firearms

Not at wards, 29% for firearms, 35% for non-firearm items for the consignor. Its right on their website.

I have used them a few times, simply because I wanted something gone right away, and was sick of emails and PMs lowballing me on stuff. Drop it off there, kiss a good chunk of its value goodbye, and its gone. Convenience more than anything. Last time I put rifles and optics together, they took all the scopes off to sell separately, at a 35% cut to them.

Are you referring to your PAL? or RPAL perhaps?

The FAC was discontinued decades ago and replaced with the PAL/RPAL program - so your FAC (if that's what you have) is useless. You are not legally entitled to purchase or even possess firearms without one of these.

Guys like you are the best. I have a PAL. I call it FAC, and will continue to.

Best you know the terms and conditions before you put your hand up. I think a lot do not and get a surprise come pay time.

18% Buyers premium applies on most sales
-discounted to 15% for Cash, Debit and Email Transfer payments.
23% Buyers premium applies when bidding online
-discounted to 20% for Cash, Debit and Email Transfer payments.

I'll probably just head down to P&D that day, shop a relaxed environment, offer them 5% above the tagged price, and walk out with a brand new rifle knowing I spent the same or less, and have a warranty.
