Blindman River

Just wondering, as I'm new to Red Deer if anyone fishes the Blindman River around Blacfalds. Thinking there may be pike on the fly.

hey man, check out burbank campground great lil fishing spot.. also another place to look at is by the bridge on highway 2a on way out.. try spinners and spoons for the pike if you fish close to where it flows into the red deer (burbank) then i would use something like a small twister tail underneath a slip bobber.. works great!

flies... cant go wrong with wooly buggers or small hoppers with a nymph under... (hopper dropper)

I tie my own flys, always had a blast on a moose surface fly for Jacks, as well as streams and poppers. The river lloks good just before you cross it going north on the west side. Will have to give it a try,
