Default Cold Lake

Hoping to come up to CL on thursday. Can anyone help me with info as to if the prov.park launch is still the place to get on the ice. Is there other places to get on with safe trails to follow.(Have 4x4) My dad is coming up from S.E sask We have never fished for Lakers before, I would just like to show him a good time and hopefully hook into one of these monsters. Have electronics; just looking for some direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before I found out how evil OUtdoor Canada is, I read a neat article on ice fishing for whitefish. More abundant, great tasting and not often a true bottom feeder in the winter.
