Default Long Lake

Hey all. Heading out to Long Lake by Boyle this weekend. Anybody been up that way. Just wondering how the ice is and any fishing reports. Heard the perch were back but would like to hear from anyone that's been up that way.

Thanks.

Was out there on Sunday, 18" of good ice. Did not find the perch, but had a good day catching Pike. Water is nice and clear. Easy to see down to 20'. Good luck. Going to try on Saturday again. We did not move when we where there. We set up camp and stayed put.

We where just south of the south boat launch. We where looking for Walleye, but the pike where keeping my friends daughter happy, so we did not move around. There was a few guys going to the south end of the lake, but never heard if they did well. We also had some guys that where hunting for the perch, but had not found them. They did try up by the cabins.

K. Thanks for the info. Might see you up there Saturday. Will be in a couple of tents and look for a Ski-doo painted arctic cat green.

Yeah. Hopefully it won't be too cold. But that's nothing a tent and heater can't fix.

I was there last sunday, I do believe I saw a rino, well a utv with tracks anyways.
I was up by the cabins, in the narrows, I was about 1/2 way from everyone else and the entry at block 11. I only spent a few hours there, and managed to catch 11 perch, most were 8 inches and 2 were about 10. I was further out in the snowmobile highway than anyone else. I didnt get there till about 9:30ish, and all my fish were caught within about 30min. I am guesssing I missed the "bite".
I gots a few ideas that I will be putting to use this weekend...My pops, an avid and very successfull perch fisherman, says I was wiggling my worm tooo much. Thus the reason I didnt catch the bigger ones I could see down there.
First time I have ever been accused of wiggling my worm too much!
