Default Brazeau Dam Pike Fishing?

Brazeau Dam West of Drayton Valley keeps showing up in my mind as an option for a pike fishing day. Have seen some nice pike in photos from up there, but it's a bit of a drive for me so wondering if it's worth it? No one that I know personally has ever fished up there.

Planning on heading for a day (somewhere) later this week. Any thoughts on the quality of pike fishing in there? I have a boat with a 9.8 Horse.

Thanks!

The reservoir can blow up really good when it’s windy yes there is some nice pike but not the greatest numbers

The canal has higher numbers but most are smaller. Been getting hit much harder since Covid.

I fish it because it’s close but I would not say it’s worth traveling for in my opinion.

OK thanks.

After looking at it in more detail I think it's further out than I was expecting too!

So I'll stick somewhere closer to home. Cheers.
