Default Tobin lake

Never been. Going soon. What’s best to use there for lures and bait?

Default Tobin lake

Last time I was there we had our best luck dragging lindy rigs and leeches along the old river channel. We fished the river portion by Nipiwin.

Not sure about lures. However back trolling along river often used. Video shows good info regarding Tobin Lake. J hook/leetch.

Buddy sent some pictures of a few hefty jacks they’ve hooked over the last week. Spooning no doubt. My biggest pickerel there was leach on lindy.

Best of luck and hope to see pics

The wife and I were going to do our first trip to Tobin this year but she took a new job so she is not able to get the time off.

Just wondering if the "Pickerel" you caught was a Grass Pickerel or a Chain Pickerel?

I was wondering if any of you guys have targeted perch on Tobin lake and if so where would be a good starting point ? going for the first time in 2 weeks. i will be taking the 7 year old with me so some perch would be a good starting point, see how he does with that before we try the bigger fish. thanks

Default Tobin lake report

Got back today. Caught fish but nothing big or anywhere near trophy quality. We lost one day on the lake b cause it was too windy and they weren’t letting boats out so we fished by the dam that day. Again caught a few but nothing big
