Those high gloss finishes are really hard to touch up. It can be done but you need someone who really knows what they are doping and that has done it before so you don't have to redo the whole stock. So much depends on exactly what the damage looks like. You can often polish out a scuff but if the finish is cracked or dented then it is a whole different process. You need to fill the dent.
