Thanks for your candid thoughts, I really appreciate it. I'm from the same school as you in your thoughts on rifles. It's just that much more difficult for left hand. I just ordered one in 6.5 and one in 9.3.

I explained to my wife that I can get both rifles for the price of a Sako 85 Hunter

Kind of a two for one deal... yes...brilliant.
Women love a bargain...

I would use the same tactic when ot comes time for optics if I was you.

Been thinking about a 9.3.

I just picked up a really nice mauser stock and will probably try a build around it.
9.3 is on the short list.
