Default Any crown land locations for shooting around Edmonton??

Hi, I have heard someone closed the Sunpit north of Edmonton. Any other places I can shoot safely for 200-300 meters? I prefer an exact location so I will not make any mistakes and it will not bother the locals.
Thanks.

My guess is any spot that meets your description will be a closed lip secret if it even exists. Might want to download a map on I hunter and look for possible spots on the satellite map then scout it out in person. Or just get a range membership. Welcome to AO by the way.

Get the I hunter app and look for crown land east of the city. Find the power lines, you can usually see them clearly and they will give you the distance you are looking for. But be prepared to drive for an hour, hour and half.

I'm a great believer in joining and supporting your local range.
Fuel cost will soon eat any savings that you might make.
Ranges offer many different features that random shooting in the bush can't give you.
Mid week shooting is always less crowded at the range.

Which ones are closest to you? Which ones have you looked into? I bet if you do a bit of homework and make a few calls to some ranges close to you, you will figure all this out for yourself.

I am from Edmonton, I looked at 2-3 ranges online and understood they want you to pay for the whole year even if it's July now. and read some comments about the range not being available.

Maybe I will try it again.
Thanks

Range memberships are normally January through December, as expenses for the range run January through December.
