.280 AI Die Set Question...

I bought a set of RCBS dies from a fellow who said they were for a 280 AI. The set that I recieved in the mail are labled as follows....

RCBS .280 REM IMP 40 F L DIE SET.
P/N 56266
Group G

My Question is, are these the dies for the .280 Ackley, or are they for another improved version ?

Yes they will fit what is commonly known as the 280 Ackley.
And yes other improved versions of the 280 exist.

If you are in doubt a casting of the chamber, or a few fired cases carefully measured should remove all doubt.

Thanks.... I'm not in doubt about the chamber in the rifle. I will soon be recieving the Cooper Excalibur in .280 AI that I ordered, and have an ample supply of Nosler .280 AI brass. The question pertains to if this is the correct die set for the .280 AI...
