Default Who does good stock work?

Just wondering who does nice stock work. I'd like to get LOP shortened and some checkering done as well as possibly having the forend and grip slimmed down. Has anyone had this done? Is it just cheaper to buy an aftermarket stock?

BTW can a prefit limb saver be worked down? Just put one on my gun and the LOP is now too long. If I cut anything off the stock the pad wont fit anymore.

The only Smith I know who does checkering is Dave Henry in Bentley (403-748-3030)

A friend had his Browning Superposed (1964) re checkered and re finished by Dave, 22LPI, and totally gorgeous.

Dave only answeres his phone on Wednesday's, and expect a lengthly wait for the finished product.

A very good stock smith in Calgary would be Dick Pietsch. He could also set up an African safari for you, if you were so inclined.
