Hummingbird helix updates

So my friend keeps bugging me about an update on my helix G2n. This update came out sometime in July for base maps.

With a very limited Canadian support are they adding more Canadian Lakes and with the basic bathmetry maps? Or are they updating with shared versions From auto chart live or auto chart pro?Any help on this is appreciated

ok that is what i figured was coming for the answer.

i didnt want to waste my time with something completely worthless to me, so i am not downloading it.

Don't be too quick to say that. Some of the updates contain significant bug fixes. I'm not sure about the Helix but the latest Solix upgrade was night and day better than the previous software version.

The Humminbird site where you download the updates will have a description of what the update includes. Probably good to have a look at that and see what’s included.

I make a point of always doing updates when they are available. Helps to keep the units up to date and running smoothly.
