morinvill res or cardiff

anyone know about the ice conditions at cardiff or morinville res? I was thinking about heading out there tomorrow. Never ice fished there is there spots to stay away from? Be nice to luck into some perch if the ice is good otherwise out to Chickakoo

Ice conditions can be odd out there. Ive been fishing at Cardiff in February and had water on the ice...
There are spots to stay away from... theres alot of shallow areas.. hard to explain.
The boat dock at the south end is shallow... the Island has deep holes, the pump house is fairly shallow as well but BBJ says perch is a hot ticket out at that area.

I just got my rod and reel from fishing hole and the ice report there said morrinvile is 5 inches already and i am planning go on saturday....

last night I was on the pond on the west side of the highway, caught a few small perch, but only ahd a halfa an hour - 6 inches as far out as I went. I am not telling you the whole pond is good but I went on the south side

lotz of littel perch at morinvill today
bring lots of bate thell pick you cleen
one rambow came up but I put him back (9")
still fun fun fun as soon as i was at the depth they bit
so fast I did not get to sit back down.

what is with the perch in Morinvill they have wartes and sores on almost half that I pulled out today ?
