Yup, greas is definatly history.
The call for Playfairs head goes in cycles. Win two he is a hero, lose two, everyone wants blood. I say leave em for this year. Doing a better job then anything on the northern side.
Yea yea, the same old same old from oilers fans "blah blah, blah our history, blah decades ago, blah blah" Yea there is some history in there, but the key is that you ARE history.
I wonder how many more games until the oilers are mathematically eliminated.

Ahhhhhhh
There it is. But I am surprised it is still red.. I would have thought for sure it would be Blue. What with all the hammering on it from up north.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Perhaps a Flames/Oilers Golf Tourny at the end of the season?
At this rate it's not like the Flames will be busy.:rollin
Still though I think the Flames will make the playoffs. What they do after that is up to the Hockey Gods.

Re: Yup, greas is definatly history.
C'mon James we may be out of it but we were consistanly craptastic, the vaunted Flames goaltending, defence and the addition of Tanguay and that final piece of the puzzle Conroy all conspiring to tank your team right outta the playoffs would gladen my heart. Perhaps you guys shouldn't have been so smug about our fortunes.......karma she is a B*&^H,
Let's go AVS lets GO, and of course GO OIL

Flames 2 Detroit 1, 6 pts up on Colorado.
Oilers have a 2 game win streak coming up,
and Flames make the play-offs.

Re: cup
Well boys, you have now officially lost the bet. Oilers are mathematically out of the playoffs, and even if they win all games to the end of the season and the flames lose all games they cannot catch up to the flames in points.
Flames 86pts
Oilers 67pts with 9 games left
If they win all games 85 points.
Now the tough job comes in deciding which banners you guys get to sport until next season :evil

Re: cup
Good game tonight. When they play like that, they look good.. Really good.
Anyhow, now that the Oilers are officially eliminated from the playoffs. I was just wondering when the other 2 Oiler fans are going to man up and change their signatures. Kannon did it ahead of time. He saw what was coming and bowed to the inevitable. (Good on him)
However I am still waiting to see the other 2.
Come on boys lets see you in red for the final few games!!

From what I hear he was ALMOST on his way out at the deadline.
Your seem to really like the fact we have been on a bit of a downwards slide lately.

Anyhow, you might have to start eating some words if they manage to keep playing this way.

Re: cup
Flames played like they are capable of tonight, Kipper was awesome, Iggy was a force. If we play 500 hockey the rest of the way, Avalanche have to play 750, That aint gonna happen. Flames will be in the post season, Oilers are officially out as of tonight, too bad, they had a decent looking team a month ago.
For all of those in the know, the teams that scratch and claw into the playoffs always make the huge run, flames in 04, oilers in 06 ring a bell. Flamers will be there, we'll still have hockey in this town in may.
Anyone in Edmonchuck know how long till the Eskimo's hit the field? What is going to be in your sport pages? We all know nothing local.
We down south here in the REAL capital of Alberta feel sorry for you.
Honest.

Re: diving
Really enjoyed the Detroit game. It was good to see Hasek pay for flopping down like he was tasered when Iginla bumped him. I'm getting sick of seeing guys draw penalties when what they should get is an academy award. ( And the Oscar for best performance in a sporting event goes to...)

Re: diving
If they play like they've been playing? God James I hope they do one win in 5 would be GREAT. They only seem to win when Kipper is steller otherwise when he's average he exposes the weakness of your D. I am pretty confident that you guys won't be .500 the rest of the way and if the Avs win the back to back with my Oil and you lose to Nashville....... let's say I won't like your chances........BTW Baulde at no time did I agree to let YOU guys pick my banner.....I abided by the terms of the bet and have a Flamers sig......
