Leica geovid rangefinder binoculars.
They’re pricey, but worth every penny. Heavier than a pair of binoculars, but lighter than the combined weight of binoculars and a rangefinder. They have a great warranty, and i can’t say enough about them.

I have been using a cheaper Bushnell model for the last few years. It was around $200-250. I also may have gotten it on sale. I use it for archery, both practice and hunting. It is very difficult to range distances over 200 yards, but under that (which I use it for) it works great for the price. I will be upgrading in the next few years so I can range things further, but its not high on the current priority list!

So basically a cheaper model works great for me during target practice and archery hunting. I do want to upgrade in the future to get readings from further out!

I'm using vortex ranger 1500 for hunting and Sig 2000 for target and hunting at real long distance I love them both the range 1500 will do a deer at 750 yards the Sig 2000 will do a deer at 1050 yards but needs to be and a steady platform

I honestly have not thought about it or researched it yet. Mine is working fine for me right now and I need a new pair of binos and a spotting scope first! I am going with Vortex or Leupold for the first time, so if the glass is great I may stick with that brand for the rangefinder. Or if I don't like one of the brands, I would avoid it! I also would stick with Bushnell if I liked testing them out in store. As for specific models, I have not done much research yet, I will probably come back to this thread in a couple years!

It has a continuous scan mode, hold down the range find button and it will keep spitting out distances as you move it around. It has a nice bright red display that you can change the brightness on. It will scan through shoot through mesh on hunting blinds. They have 100% lifetime, no fault warranty.

Any first hand experience with the vortex 1500 and ranging edge for elk/deer? I have heard it is good out past 1000 yards but never seen it first hand.

I just bought the vortex 850 and its amazing I was able to get to 1000 and that's further then il ever shoot. I bought it for its size and price tag and its my bow hunting finder and actually liked it more then the leica and few others. Found it clearer and faster to range then others as well

I use a Bushnell that came in a combo pack with binoculars - about $200 total. Works well. I've ranged out to ~350 yds, probably does more just haven't tried. That's my shooting limit anyways, so that's enough for me.
