Critical life threatening condition. Saw a video of a high speed escort through the city with police blocking intersections to get the ambulance through.
Hope he will be ok.

I wonder what the story is behind this incident? I hope the officer recovers fully.

Slow clap, fast clap, standing applause. Whether they did it themselves or it was a police bullet there could not be a better outcome (of course short of the officer not being injured in the first place). Way cheaper than us taxpayers forking out for a public defender, court and incarceration costs.
Wonder what the initial incident that had the police there in the first place was?
Best wishes for the officer to have a full recovery.

This hits close to home for me. Injuried officer was a classmate with my son at the academy.
Got a lump in my throat when my wife called to tell me.
God speed to the officer you're in my prayers.

Suspect did a home invasion demanding car keys, homeowner refused, suspect ran away and was cornered.

Hoping for a full recovery for the officer, and that the suspect is really dead.

Wondering if it even was his own home and the garage that was burned down.
What I really don't get is why some media show images of the shot officer including his face. I find that pretty disrespectful, they also don't show accident victims just so the people have something to look at.

If true how awesome it would have been for the home owner to say screw you and stick a bullet in the guy before the cops arrived but no this is Canada and now an officer is shot because of it.....

She watched the same officer who took her statement get shot and fall down in front of her eyes, how horrifying would that be?
I am SO glad he is ok, hopefully heals to 100% quickly.
Terrible situation with a hopefully better ending, knowing the stupidity we are faced with there will be IA crawling down his throat asking why he didn't hug the guy shooting at him.

I'm curious how that played out because the perp was reportedly armed with a pistol with which he had just previously robbed a convenience store. How did the homeowners simple "No!" (or whatever) dissuade an obviously drugged out & armed sociopath who had no qualms about shooting a police officer?

There’s always more to the story! Hope a full recovery is full and quick.

Can't get into the head of a drugged and armed sociopath but I would guess that he only felt threatened by the officer.

He's stable. Thank God.
Feel free to follow the attached link and put a compliment in for the officer for doing his job and nearly paying the ultimate price. I believe the media outlets named him.
On top of posting video of a sincerely terrible moment in his and his co-workers lives all over the internet like vultures.
