Default Fisher in marten sets

So I have been looking around a new area I just started trapping this season and will trap next season and am finding it thick with marten sign. I am primarily targeting canines; coyote and wolf but will set out a dozen or so marten sets even though I really have no interest in them, I can't ignore the sign. When last out, I had a decent sized fisher cross in front of me and go right into my wolf snare sets. As a resident trapper I have no interest in fisher but have seen enough sign that I want to know if there is any way to exclude or minimize the chance of catching one. I run Belisle 120 super x's in Donahue trap and bait holders

Make sure you read the regs , as a resident trapper , you can't trap Martin , fisher, Lynx , wolverine, and otter . Must have an RFMA and check your quota for certain of those species as well !

You can minimize, but not eliminate, the chance of catching a fisher in a marten set by using a 14-16" long box with a restricted entrance lid with a 2 3/4 inch hole., rather than your Donahue set. Recess the trap close to the bait at back of the box.

I checked that already, I am good for marten, but thanks. After talking with SRD, if I get a registered trapper added to my WA-19 access form and hang the fisher, he gets it and I am clear. And there is one guy close by that I have had the pleasure of wolf trapping with who I am sure will take it. I have no intention of targeting them specifically but the amount of marten sign around I can't ignore. Will look at building some restricted opening boxes and see what pans out.
