Currantly running vintage Redfield 4-12x40 on mine, Some days it's a bit undersized, to my liking, but on grass rats it's all you need to 200-250ish.

Default 17 scope

The sweet .17 is a nice scope 3-9 variable with built in bullet compensation for the .17 cal. It make adjustments for different ranges very simple.

Default 17 Scope !

10-40x50 you can shoot the gopher or just the flea's this comes with a world of problems, inversions / heat waves / you can even see your pulse at about 28 but 10 is good all the time and in right conditions 40 is crazy Didn't say I was smart just wana have fun

BSA, Sweet 17 scopes, are maybe $100.00, and their QC is non existant, I've read about 1 in 10 failure rates.
So you can drop your coin on this wild card, or sink a few more bucks into something that wont possibly leave you PO'd in the middle of a gopher patch.
