Was there an arrow on the string? How heavy was the arrow - what poundage was the bow set at? Was there anything interferring with the cams?

Could be that your poundage is set too low?
My dad and I have PSE Brute's.
His is 50-60lbs and had it set for 50lbs until his skill and strength improved. However, after 3 string de-railments during clean shooting, the assumption was made that that the poundage weight was set too low for it's design (even though it's designed for 50lbs).
After increasing to 57 lbs. he had no more problems.
We were told to always shoot a bow at the higher end of it's weight capabilities (with no explanation why and we didn't ask...which was dumb) and now we know why.
Mine is 60-70lbs (and I shoot at 70lbs.) and haven't had a problem yet.

Could that be it??

go to jimbows, talk to jimmy, he'll fix it for you, he's fixed 3 already from bass pro, and its wierd cause the archery staff at bass pro are also pro staff at the calgary archery centre, they should be able to tell what a dry fired bow looks like, and what one who's string comes off looks like.

Looks like another PSE lives up to the Pull Shoot Explode motto.
