If you find fresh sign, I'd setup and call asap. I've had much luck calling them, at the sight of fresh sign.

Once you find them you should ask if a 22-250 is good enough.

Find a vantage point overlooking any large river valley, the wolves use them as travel routes when searching for prey.
Problem is they are fairly nomadic, here one day gone the next.If you find Elk or Moose sign its a good spot to start from. Good luck, the few I have shot were just by pure chance when they came to an Elk bugle,or just appeared in the bush.

Take a walk to your grandma's house and you are bound to come across one.
It helps if you are wearing a red hood.

Based on his suggestion, I'm guessing he's on about his 5th one.

Ranchers south west of Calgary were having major wolf problems at one time, don't know if that's still true , but worth pursuing.

Always had great luck finding fresh tracks around Cynthia. Did I find wolf, certainly not. But that’s probably more of a reflection on my stealthiness lol

Yes, that's a good one too! I heard that there's some crown land south of there as well that holds some as well.
