Default Horse guides for Wilmore.

Hey all i know this has been asked quite a few times over the years but i cant find anything more recent. I am looking to be packed in by horseback into Wilmore for the 2022 sheep season and looking for a guide who has knowledge of the area. this would be a solo sheep hunt and looking to go a ways back.

Hope you find someone. Gonna be hard though as most outfitters wont take a resident anywhere near their sheep area. Even in the Willmore. I was in their last year and it was packed.

Bottom line, no matter how far you go, there's likely someone beat you to there.

Met this fellow at the Rock Lake staging area in 2017 and seems like a nice guy.

I hiked in last year and didn't see a soul back there. A few horse tracks but that was it.

Early on it seems to be pretty busy. The last couple years with the Covid it seemed worse IMO. Not much different anywhere else in the province though I don't suspect.

Last year i had a rough plan of where i was going to go, with it being my first sheep hunt i may have picked an area where the more experienced guys dont bother. but i did manage to find some rams so for me that was a success. Now i have the itch and want to go in a little deeper for a little longer!

You can't legally do that in the Willmore, thank goodness.
