Default boat heaters

I have a kingfisher 2225 and I am looking to install a boat heater this year. I have read that Espar marine heaters are good but they are very expensive, as too are the competitive brands. Does anyone have experience purchasing and installing these types of heaters on their boats and are you willing to share that info? I am looking for a decent heater (Espar D4 or similar) rather than the cheapo versions used in ice fishing tents. I believe that diesel is the way to go rather that propane but that's just what I have read.
Thanks in advance
Tom

Go on Amazon and search "Marine Heater", there will be a bunch of knockoff Espar d4 and d2's, all types of colours. Iv'e installed Espar heaters before, and these look exactly the same, heater housing is identical. Not sure if they are the same parts made in china, just not sold thru Espar, but wouldn't surprise me. For around $4-500 can't go wrong trying it out. If you have your heart set on brand name, look up Heatso.ca, they sell Webasto and Espar kits. Best prices you will find.
