but how do I get rid of two jiffy gas heads without the legs?

I guess I could sell them as magical invisible augers, that are much lighter than the visible kind.

Default Jiffy compatibility

Are jiffy heads compatable with any other brand’s legs?

I have 2 hand cranks could it be made to fit? I'd be interested in it.

jiffy are crafty buggers, their legs go opposite direction so your two auger legs wouldn't work properly, even if you reversed the blades.

but i'll keep you in mind as I might toss in an eskimo "2" person tent and a 60inch, deep sled. I'm just going through the emotional part of letting some stuff go. I have 4 sleds to tow my gear and three tents now, but augers get me in a weird sentimental way like certain lures or rods I have. Anyways, I'll drop you a line a bit later on, when I figure it all out.

600 for just the head...cripes. I'll stick with my propane Jiffy Pro 4 for now. I'd really like to move to electric at some point, but it's just so far outta budget.

Default Electric Jiffy E6

I have a new electric Jiffy. Used it the other day with my 10” and it cuts through the ice like butter. Drilled around 35-40 holes in about 6-8” of ice and it sat outside in about -8c and the battery showed full at the end of the day. It’s considerably lighter than my gas augers. The real test will happen in February but as of now I’d highly recommend it. Tomorrow I’ll bring the 8” and 10” to see the speed difference.
