Default This man launched himself in his homemade rocket

A special kind of crazy or seeking glory?

Seeking to*prove*that a conspiracy of astronauts*fabricated the*shape*of the*Earth,*a California man intends to*launch*himself 1,800 feet high*on Saturday in a rocket he built from scrap metal.
Assuming the 500-mph, mile-long*flight through the Mojave Desert does not kill*him, Mike Hughes*told the Associated Press,*his*journey into the*atmosflat will*mark the first phase of*his ambitious flat-Earth space program.
Hughes’s ultimate goal is*a subsequent*launch that puts*him miles above the Earth,*where*the 61-year-old limousine driver hopes to*photograph proof of*the*disc we all live on.

Godspeed young man Darwin needs more astronauts, what could go wrong?

Ha ha, Evel Knievel's long lost relative? He better get a pay Per View going, it will pay for his funeral.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to take photos out the window of pretty much any commercial flight? Heck, he’d even be able to take more photos because he wouldn’t have to be frantically pulling on the parking brake like Wile E Coyote while trying to delay his impending death......

I’m sure that rocket will only need the briefest of pre-launch safety checks after being parked unsecured overnight at the Holiday Inn Express. (I’m picturing an engineering student frat party stumbling by the unattended rocket in the wee hours of the morning .....)

The park brake would work if he had air brakes.

here's the key phrase that explains everything:

"Hughes only recently converted to flat-Eartherism, after struggling for months to raise funds for his follow-up flight over the Mojave."

'nuff said.

Default The truth is out there !

NASA has faked all the space travel, satellites actually go around above us in circles.

Not sure what they're smoking in California?

The earth IS flat, well sorta. Atmosphere and stratosphere layers fool cameras with their light bending fisheye effect distorting pancake shapes to look like extended spheres. Planets are flat longitudinally, round on the ends latitudinally rotating digitally. Light bending effects make them appear round to the human eye. Long planets are shaped like hotdogs. Short planets are shaped like marshmallows. Sun's heat makes them crusty on the surface and gooey inside. The 'Rule of Rotisserie Conundrum' explains it.
If the rotisserie is slow (like ours is)the planet will be hot on one side and snowy on the other that explains the seasons. The moon currently is an immature sun, as it grows, reaches puberty and moves out to the opposite side we will have two full grown suns and daylight all the time, we will no longer have winter. This is the actual explanation for the global warming phenomenon (the changing climate is the telltail) but the media, scientific community and gov't hide this revelation for their own nefarious profit taking reasons..

What did I just read? Am I having a stroke? Is this real life.

Also on a side note, rocket man is trolling you when he says his rocket is steam powered. It uses hydrogen for fuel. Steam is what is created as a byproduct of combustion of hydrogen.

I have read some opinions and theories on this site over the years that have given me pause or made me shake my head but I've never read anything like this.

I'm going to need some clarification here.

So the moon .... a ball of rock is going to go through puberty and transform into a giant ball of burning gas as it moves to what opposite side? I'm curious which sun will we be orbiting?

I'm curious about a lot quite frankly.

As someone who has actually taken the time to look into the theory of flat earth, I can tell that most here are too consumed with the status quo to even consider something other than what they believe to be true.

Every single statement here against the possibility of a flat earth is quite easily explained if one is so inclined to look for the answers.

If by status quo you mean countless piles of facts and evidence accumulated over the course of history then yes I agree.

I lived near the coast before coming to Canada, standing on the beach you can see incoming sail vessels on the horizon, flag first, then top mast until you finally can see the whole ship, no matter if using your eyes or a telescope.
How is that explained?

Ok riddle me this ... why can't you see the mountains from Edmonton?

I get believing the earth is flat if civilization is also at a point where people explain the sun by saying it's a God in a chariot riding it across the sky.... I'd like to think most of us are past that.

Except for the people who think the moon uses the ocean as a salt water gas station?

Let's take a very simple example of the possible non curvature of the earth. The curvature of the earth is 8" of drop for every mile of distance squared. Let's take an easily observable distance of 2 miles, or 3.2 km. That would give us a curvature drop of 32" or 2.7'. It's absurd to claim that you can't see a canoe at just 3 km away on any body of calm water.

Heads up everyone. Tonight I'm on my way.

At 9:58 pm the night skies of Alberta will see the candle flame like no other.
I just fashioned up a 36"X 102" chunk of well casing with a home built pointed nose cone made of 3/4" ply-wood with a thin layer of tin to hold it together.

I'm using 2200 lbs of Single F Black powder as my jet propulsion rocket engine to launch me high into the flat-nos-osphere.

I don't need no Go fund me page since its all about getting it done on a frugal budget.
Those of us that wear tin-foil suits with a tight fitting open face Ski-doo helmit like to help humankind with innovative ideas and Technology.
Being self centred is the key to be successful.
This is what it says on page 13 of my Donald Trump flight manual. LOL. Dam I hate unlucky number 13's.

Oh well,,, no time to correct that as ground control is rushing to get this chit show under-way.

The Race Against Time is imminent since human kind needs to be alerted to this flat- biosphere ideas that has been kept secret from us for 13 billion years... Dam, another 13. Oh Boy.

Any ways, I'll keep you up to date shortly when I get underway tonight.

Reporting from a top secret location 23 kms east of Drumheller in side historic Gain elevator in the shadows of darkness.

Non Major Don over.

PS: Some people think I'm crazy, but sometimes it takes crazy people to find discoveries that most common folks won't challange.

Up date time is soon to follow 20 minutes before lunch.
Let's get Bunkerd down for a trip of a life time friends, shot for the stars and hope for the moon is the best I can do with Single F Black powder jet propulsion engines

I was hoping a Canadian would jump into the space race ahead of that US guy 2,200 lbs, should be enough for a tour all over Alberta although it could be in pieces but it does take crazy people to find discoveries.

From my height of 6 feet 2 inches above the water its easily seen, what about at ground level ... I can't say but I would bet it's disappearing.

SO ....Why can't the mountains be seen from Edmonton if the earth is flat?

Edit... Just looked into it and if my eyes are 6 feet above the ground I have a horizon of 3 miles on a calm lake, so yeah it seems reasonable instead of absurd. Thanks for proving the point.
