Default Evan Graham's SmartFetch DVD

Ordering his dvd set here (just smart fetch, not smart works) from gun dog supply (canadian gun dog supply doesn't carry it anymore I guess) and just wondering if anyone has experience working through it with a pointer

seems to be one of the more popular programs out there, even for versatile dogs

I used it for my Large Munsterlander , and the only issue was I subscribed to the theory that you teach the sit command last to a pointing dog. Thing were complicated in that I was on my first dog and I really did not know what real obedience looked like.

The system is very sound, but I learned the hard way getting sit/here and heel good and solid will help to reduce the stress of force fetch

Hey good to know. I had also heard to teach sit last, at least after you teach them "Whoa".

Looking forward to working through it, this is my first dog too.

thanks

I have a NAVHDA membership but haven't connected with either of the Edmonton chapters as of yet- I'm a few hours away from the city but am planning on making it down there in the near future, would really like to check it out and learn as much as I can
