As far as accuracy, all I care is when I squeeze the trigger the coyote falls over. Mine will be getting a Leupold cantilever mount with a 2.5-10x scope on it.

Running it with a 10 round LARS magazine might be a lot of fun coyote hunting.

2 days ago it wanted the full price. Today its asking for a $200 deposit only. Ive never delt with them before. Will they be asking for the rest when the order is ready to be filled?

The first 1000 ordered are being manufactured, hence the full price. This next round, they do not have a delivery date and manufacturing has not started, so they are just taking deposits.

Looks nice for a 1000 bucks. May consider one of these down the road after I read some feedback about the accuracy. Great to see its made in Canada.

You can use 7.62x39 on deer....up to 200yards with soft point hunting rounds.
Knocks them down just fine.

No FRT. Wolverine themselves have stated that they do not believe it is a requirement.
It will be interesting to see how fast the RCMP generate one once the production starts.

And why do you think that is ? Here's a better question, why do you think this firearm is called the WK180-C ?
I'm not sure you understand the legalities behind manufacturing a receiver with an existing FRT.
This is an AR180-B after all, albeit with a different upper.

Quote:
Lower receiver: Manufactured in Canada by Kodiak Defence they are CNC machined from Aircraft grade 6061-T6 Aluminium and black hard coat anodized Class III. The WK180-C lower is a direct replacement for the factory AR-180B polymer lower receiver.
And production has already started...

How is WK180-C better than Kel Tec Su-16F which is also in .223, accepts AR mags but cost $900 and has chrome-lined barrel?

I have the Keltec as well, looks like I will need a beta version of this rifle to compare with as well.

Some obvious differences:

You can't buy a Keltec with a telescoping stock, pistol grip etc etc for under $1,000

The Keltec is not made in Canada,

Keltec customer service is the worst I've ever seen.

I am, VERY interested in this rifle.

I should have clarified. It is a domestically manufactured firearm, therefore no FRT requirements. Also, it is an AR180B design, so the FRT already exists.

Unfortunately beggars can't be choosers in Canada For the most part boys..Unless you want to spend more money. This is an awesome option If you're looking for a nonrestricted Semi in 223 or 5.56. AND it Uses AR mags? SOLD! The only comparable is Probably an AR-180b? For what you're getting and the money, this thing looks pretty sweet. I would for sure by this over a 180B.

Default 180 canadian playtime

I am excited that there are multiple Canadian made platforms coming out.
RWA out of Calgary did an amazing job on theirs.
All I know is I need a bigger gun safe.

Wouldn't have much in the way of apprehension ordering that, John is a pretty sharp boy, and a good businessman, he has invested his time, money and reputation into it. He gives a damn about what he sells, and has the necessary knowledge to come up with something that will work. No doubt he'll come up with the necessary desired accessories for it, when he gets a bit of time to work on that, after getting it out there and going.

Anyone else here wonder about debris getting into the hole/slot/channel on either side of the receiver for the charging handle?

I’m really not worried about not having a dust cover. Mine will be used for steel out to 300yds and calling coyotes.
