No flutes on mine ...not sure about the drop...it shoulders fine with good eye/scope alignment when cheek is in position. Wildcat could give you the drop specs. I can say that the lightness of the fore stock makes the 6.5 X 47L noticibly livelier than when in my HS stock

Thanks, I’m looking for a 700 stock for a build and this might be a good option

Yes, Stewart is a fantstic fellow, check out his Web site as he offers a few different designs.

Var-Tac is the pistol grip design that is built for short actions, Stewart will fill the forward stock area in to fit the long actions.
