Default Paraffin Wax Bath for Arthritis of the Hand?

Looking for feedback from anyone who has one or has used one.

Was it effective?
Cons?
Model recommendation?
Where did you find it for sale?

Trying to limp Mrs Omega through to her surgery date.

Not wax, but I use magic bags for my arthritic pains. Heat them in the microwave oven and they hold the heat for an hour. Reusable.

I had a friend, was an older doctor in our home town, and he couldn't do surgery without spending time in the paraffin working the kinks out of his hands. He swore by it. Still, I wouldn't have let him do surgery on me or my loved ones......(he has since passed away).

I've never even thought about trying that. I'd be interested to hear if it works.

When I broke my wrist pretty bad the physio involved the wax bath. It was my favourite part about it. Very warm, comfortable and eased the pain. I could see it doing wonders for arthritis.

Update-Part of her morning routine the last month as she waits for surgery this week to break her ulna and try to gain a few mm in her TFCC.

Really has been useful for morning mobility and pain

A very inexpensive aid to daily living

About 6 dips to coat

Then recycle the wax
