Default Ssr public access.

Is there much for public access along the ssr for fishing? Thinking of heading down today for the weekend. Where along the river does a guy have his best chance at hooking a sturgeon? Closer to sask border? Is there a public spot anywhere for people to fish and what towns are close for hotels? Thx

My son and I stayed in Burstall(few motels, 2 eating places, 1 fuel stop) on the Sask side and Bow Island south of the Hat when I chased elk 2 yrs back. Both are close to the river but as far as access, not sure. I'm sure the Hat members will chime in and help.

Cant give you much info on access points for sturgeon, but the ssr is running quite high and fast right now and is pretty dirty, so fishing might be a bit of a challenge. Good Luck!

the lower Bow is wicked muddy and up pretty high , makes for better dino hunting though. when you cant hold bottom with a 9 ounce pyramid you know shes good to go!

All the city parks in the Hat have access, be forewarned the river is high and fast.
