Default What do you guys think?

I made this out of an old hockey shaft. Made of same materials as one you would buy. Nice and light. Carbon is strong. And customized length and weight with hockey tape. Even had enough left over to make a side bar

I think I like how you problem solve.
And if it does the trick then good on you.
Only concern is it looks a little long if you are going to hunt with it.
So in conclusion good job.

I have plenty of broken sticks laying around. Maybe i will make a few different lengths for hunting and range practice.

I think that's awesome, the only thing I can see there being a problem with is wind, a flat surface doesn't buck the wind as good as a rounded surface.

I've been thinking of things to use, some broken salt water rods would be nice to get a hold of.

redneck tech...looks good.

how did you mount the bolt? and how far in is it supported? you want to make sure that attachment is solid, lot of vibration is going to transfer straight through because your string stop is directly opposite it. very cool.

I haven't noticed too much wind drift. I made a rear bar as well just need the mounts

I took a stick plug and cut it flat then used a drill press through the middle and used appropriate bolt and nut. Handles the vibration decently too
