Importing bullets from USA
Has anyone done it recently, is it doable. I have tried to wade through the US stuff but I am not clever enough for lawyer talk.

You can't get the required permit yourself, so you are best off to use an importer .

Need the right kind of ducks in the right row
I got some from Hammer a couple years ago, didn’t have to go thro anyone. At that time Hammer had some kind of ducks all in a row to allow that to happen, don’t know if they still do. There was a max order amount, don’t remember the exact number but I got 4 or 5 boxes.

It is for custom bullets. I have sent emails to two of the four exporters he has listed, they don't even acknowledge getting the emails. Frustrating... I guess I better try the other two.

You need to contact an importer on the Canadian side with the proper permits like Prophet River Firearms to do business with the exporter on the US side.

I dont think Prophet river imports anymore, Use I run guns I just don’t know if it’s worth it with the cost would have to be some really special bullets that you had to have for the effort.

I tried sending them an email supplied by the bullet maker, doesn't work. Maybe I'll try calling. Do you have an email address for them?

Not sure which one you have. But I have found their communication to be excellent. Looking back I see lots of correspondence I've had with Mike Gregg......mike@reloadinginternational. com

When they re-did the ITAR regs, they allowed for bullets and brass to be shipped up to a dollar value without permit, not ure if it is 100 or 500.00 now, thinking 100 from what I remember reading about it. I got brass from Brownell's last year, I just tacked it onto an order to make it worthwhile, no issues. It was like 99.00 worth. I have RWS bullets coming via Switzerland to CSC in Calgary, due this month as I remember it. Guess I shud inquire.
