Nice job. You will wonder how you ever got along without it.
Oh and your shop is way too clean.

Learned how to use one in High school and I've used my neighbor's on occasion, but always a little rich for my budget. Old worn out ones ,surplused from WWll sold for over a thousand bucks at the local high school liquidation. Real mark of class to own one.

Probably a good idea, I do have ventilation in the shop, exhaust on the other side but a fresh air intake close to the lathe.

Nicely done
I picked one of these up a few years ago and never had a problem with fumes if you keep the coolant running. I suspect you will have some on the floor too as It has mind of its own when flying off the headstock at speed. So little time and never enough toys.

I would assume you bought that from modern tool? I would recommend buying some extra sheer pins, Im not sure of your experience level on the lathe but most beginners crash it at least once or twice so it is good to have a couple extra pins kicking around just in case. Not always easy to find them when you need them. I have the same lathe at work, pretty sure you will enjoy it.

Havn't crashed yet but came close, forgot to put the leadscrew in neutral when turing at 1500 rpm and grabbed the half nut lever instead of the power feed and that carriage took off in a hurry. And I'm kind of a chicken when threading, 200RPM max for me
