Default Scope came with a sticker, what's it for?

No such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people

I recently bought my first gun, a Mossberg Patriot .270
It came with a Vortex scope. The scope came with a sticker that has a similar pattern to the reticle, it's a BDC. What's this sticker for?? Is it just to stick on the scope cover to indicate what reticle the scope has?

I've already read the manual, I read it again
I see nothing about this extra sticker in there

Stick it on your flip cap And write your rifles drop yardage for each substention for quick use in the field.

Ah that makes so much sense, thanks! That explains the lines which are clearly for writing down yardage
