Default Muir won this time...

Caught a 19 inch rainbow out of Muir yesterday, released it, went to cast again, and my rod was gone. If anyone snags a TFO rod with Okuma reel, it's mine... I guess back to spinning gear for a while until I save some money...

Wedged rod beside me on my float tube as I always do after I netted the fish. Tossed the fly onto the water and took my time reviving the fish. The rod must have slipped off the side without me noticing. Had a sinking line on too so there was no hope of the line surfacing for me to grab. It really sucks.

I agree. The deepest spot in Muir is 18ft, the rest is on average between 11 & 7ft. Dropped my Sage in Muir once, got it back on the first cast with my sinking line. Get it quick before someone else does.

Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely try. Can't make it out for about a week, hopefully it's still there.
