Canmore Off-road Camping

My brother and his family are coming up from the states to stay in a condo in Canmore for a few days and i would like to take my family trailer.

i would like to camp near the bow river. Do I have to find a campground or are there nice places close to the bow river and Canmore where I could setup.

You'll have to book into a campground. Bow Valley might be an option.

Its all private or unaccesible, Campground will be your best option. There's a nice quiet one on the Bow about 10min east of Canmore. No services though.

My first option is to stay at the bow river campground that is just out of Canmore but you can not reserve there. I will be arriving Saturday morning so I may get lucky but I doubt it. There are couple other options in town but then you are back to back with other RV's. Not my type of camping.
