reload shotgun
reload 12 gauge with brass hulls and 410 as well. Tons of fun at the range with my old double hammer guns. Everyone likes a couple of rounds for the nostalgia.

I scooped up some cheap used MEC presses and my buddy and I setup an assembly line in the garage. We can throw the game up on the TV and BS but still turn out better than 100 an hour. We’ve had some luck finding people with random boxes of stuff they don’t use anymore so component costs haven’t been too bad but it’s pretty close. If we have to pay retail going forward it might get too expensive, I’ll keep loading 28ga skeet loads for sure though.
Our initial plan was to practice a bit on target loads then start doing our steel waterfowl stuff however finding reliable data has turned out to be a chore. BPI has changed their wads recently and said for the first couple years that old data was interchangeable but they’ve pulled back on that now. Then on top of that Alliant has pulled all of their steel recipes from their online guide although the 2019. Starting to seem like more work than I was hoping it would be.

So sort of. If you go to products then select Steel then click on the load recipes link it's there but if you go in through the Reloader's guide it isn't. There were some threads on Duck Hunting Chat about it, been that way for a while, IDK if that's on purpose or not.

I had Ponsness loaders. Great machines that would crank out a lot of ammo in short order. Sold all my shotshell reloading stuff a couple of years ago. I shoot mostly 12 and 20 gauge. There is not enough cost savings to be worth the trouble and you can now buy such a wide selection of loads there isn't that incentive either.. I got rid of the 410 because factory ammo is really expensive and I didn't like loading it.

Rusty Wood handles some specialty shotshell reloading tooling and components as well, and I would much rather do business with them.

That seems like an odd way to go about things.

Even with the 10% for the weak dollar they are cheaper than Bilizior on most stuff, actually have stock and they are a whole bunch nicer to deal with.

I load
1oz /12ga for grouse as you don't need a lot of shot to take them down.almost no recoil is a bonus. There is a firm in Quebec that carries BPI products at reasonable prices.Rusty Wagon does not have what I'm looking for at the moment.I have a lifetime supply of wads Win/Rem but want to build some longer range specialty ammo as well as BG slugs to save some money.

If you e-mail Western Powders, they'll give you info if they have it, probably be able to tell you why Alliant pulled the info.

I just bought a flat of target loads yesterday.
I think reloading is coming back into style.
