Default Clip for an Anschutz 520/61 (C.I.L 470)

Hi All,

I've been trying to find a clip for an old Anschutz 520/61 .22LR that I had as a youth. Used to belong to my grandfather who got it in the 80's, gave it to us as kids, and we broke the clip for it.

Years later, it's now mine and unusable. I've done a bit of searching on the web, but haven't had any luck. Any sources I can tap?

Thanks,
Mark

IIRC there were some for sale on CGN lately.
Semi auto?

Thanks for the update - could you elaborate on CGN? What's the link?

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the url - I found the 3 threads that referred to Anschutz in the last 6 months; found Western Gun Parts and sent of an inquiry.

Just found this one out with mine...after spending $85 on an original mag:angry The Mossberg 702 Plinkster mag is the cheap version and work well, all that you have to do is remove/grind the metal guide on one side of the mag.

Hope this helps cause I was peaved when I found out I could have 8 clips instead of one for that price. It is good to have an original too though.

I'm looking for magazines for a CIL model 300, which I have read is also the same as an Anschutz 520. Is this info correct? If so, I'd like to know more about these mossberg mags.

Have you tried them Trakker262? Are there any instructions on the mods?

I've found original mags for $100 each but I'd like to find something for less if I could. I don't really want to spend more than the rifle is worth just for 2 magazines. Thanks

Default modifying clip

I recently bought a plinkster magazine and tried it in my CIL model 470 it fits tights without taking the nub off but it will not chamber a round
is this because I did not take the nub off?

Certainly seems worthwhile to investigate, Nordic Markemen wants 96.00 for the Anschutz, not sure they actually have any, Western didn't, said they couldn't get any lately.

I lost my cil 300 mag years ago so I purchased one more and left it at home. .I had some clips from a marlin 2lr xt,after a bit of filing till it fit snug,i used 3 of them for a few years.Plus if I lost one ,it was nothing to replace.

Then when I sold the rifle I had the right clip in mint shape to seal the deal. Plus I added in the xt clips,no compliant ever from the guy.

Took me 20 minutes of tinkering and filing and slick as that. The 300 and 520 might be very close if I remember correctly so if they are you could give this a try.
