Help a Youth
I'm in the process of assembling a rifle for aa 12 year old who is in the process of getting his PAL. Dad has taken a job in BC and only gets home every so often so Mom came to me for help. Long story short is I have everything except a scope. Has anyone got a reasonably quality scope that they can contribute or sell at reasonable price to assist. I'm thinking Bushnell 32 or 4200 type or equivalent. Will go on a 243 Savage 11.Thanks

I am sending pics to Cat for posting of the results. Rifle is a Savage Model 11 in a Boyd's stock, scope is an excellent m8 Leupold donated by Catnthehat, Tikka sling, weaver rings, bases were with rifle, G96 folder knife, Carlton grunt call, cleaning kit, case, ammo and rattling antlers. Took it out to get it on paper and took 7 shots and last three at 100 are about an inch so not bad for an old fart and a Savage. All accessories were spares on hand except the scope and ammo. Thanks again to Cat. Total cost to Mom is $500 for a youngster starting out. A family friend and his Uncle will be mentoring the boy. 13th birthday is Dec 2

I bought a couple of boxes of Hornady American Whitetail 100 grain. Shot good.

your choice, i've got three scopes to choose from if your interested.
bushnell dusk to dawn 3-9x40. A Tasco straight 4x40. and a small bushnell 2.5 banner.
you can have the ones you need, no questions asked.

Thanks for all the extra offers everyone. This is wrapped up with pretty much everything. To 35 I included a G96 folder (buck 112 Equivalent). His 13th birthday is Dec 2 so timing was perfect. Cat has the pics of the outfit so he may get them up soon.

Hunting stuff
I have a ton of extra gear that no longer gets used. My son lives in Ontario now and I have things like stands/ pop up/ binoculars knives / stones etc.

Just as an update folks, I took Ronji up on his generous offer and met him in Edmonton today (4th Dec) and the young fellow now has a reversible camo/white coat, binos, more knives and a stone. That completes the package and thanks again to all who offered items or donated. You guys are super and made a youngster very happy.
