Bought a handsfree bluetooth unit today
I bought a 2009 f150 that does not have bluetooth, and not wanting to change the stereo just to be able to use the phone handsfree I went to Bestbuy and bought a Jabra Freeway.
Great unit, $119 and it is absolutely handsfree, even plays through settable FM so you actually use the factory speakers without a single wire. It has a 40+ hour battery, 40+ day standby.
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/...10173811.aspx?
Tip- do a google search for Jabra Freeway if you are interested, take a pic or screensave with your smart phone, and Bestbuy will sell it to you at the lowest price you find. Then they give you another 10% of the difference. I found one for $85 and they matched it.
They will actually do this for anything you find interesting, get the best price you can online and they will match or beat every time. Great deal.

Is that the one with a suction cup that turns whatever it is attached to into a boom box? I wa with my brother shopping for a bluetooth speaker this weekend. He ende up with a Bose.

I bought two of the Freeways. Mistake.
My coworker had the cheaper version Jabra and it sounded great. So the guy at Bestbuy sold me on the "better" version. Terrible.
Everyone I talked to complained that they couldn't hear me and that it was crackley. I also wished the volume was a little higher on my end too, but I'm nearly half deaf. First one the battery wouldn't charge anymore and they didn't offer any warranty because I lost the receipt after only a month. Second one (I bought the same again) and couldn't take the complaining anymore so it got retired out the window.
Tried the JBL-Clip next. It was super clear for everyone else, but not quite loud enough on my end (again). Not really handy to hang either.
After that was another "speaker" style Bluetooth. Just ok.
Latest is a pair of Sony ear buds for $45. Not super comfortable, but far superior to anything I've tried so far.

Good review, thank you.
I tried it with a couple phone calls, after I got the tone and volumes set it was great on both ends. Maybe you got a couple friday afternoon specials?
The guys in Lloydminster Bestbuy are absolutely great to deal with, if I have issues months from now I am sure they will take care of me. I will try it for a while, if it doesn't measure up I will get something else. I really like the FM feature, I am not a fan of the tiny speaker on any of the handheld units.

These blue parrot headsets work great. We have a couple on the farm. They cancel out outside noise so others can always hear you.

I had the Jabra Freeway as well - it was terrific. I tried out the Motorola Roadster for a bit, and it was very good as well - but I prefer the Jabra Freeway.
Ended up selling it to fellow forum member when I bought a vehicle that had Bluetooth built in. There are times that I wish I still had the Jabra, though - After one of the Apple updates, Siri stopped playing nice with my car's Bluetooth.

I have a Plantronics Voyager Edge. Good volume, good noise canceling, but not cheap.
Still not as good as my Bose was. Not sure why they stopped making them.

Only the German Bluetooth devices.
