For now - a little bit of his ashes will be spread along the river we hunted together so many wonderful times.
The balance will be interred in a special custom rosewood urn (now being carved) as was his Gal Asuilu. They will sit side by side in their favorite spot watching the house.

Eventually the BoogyMan will joining me in the box, along with my favorite rifle, pistol and a handful of shells for both. Never know what awaits on the other side, but with him and my tools, I will be prepared.

Cheers,
Nog

So sorry for your loss Nog, best friends leave us, but memories don't.

Cherish those times.

Sorry for your loss, as I read this, I feel a tightness in my chest, trying not to think of the day when I have to say goodbye to my beloved Shadow. A very tough time no doubt, I believe they are our 4 legged angels! Our dogs gone by, are running happy trails, remembering their past, all dogs go to heaven

Sorry to hear about your dog, Matt. From your testimony, know that he had a doubly full life, much richer than most dogs get. He was a lucky one to end up with you to adventure with.

Very sorry to hear of your loss Nog. I had to go through the same thing a few years ago with my Yellow Lab and I still miss that dog. My daughter is begging me these days to get a dog, I might have to cave one of these days...
Thoughts and prayers sent to you and your family.

RIP Boogeyman...

It’s so tough when they go and it’s good for you to reach out and share your grief. It’s 2 years for me and still miss our last. Words don’t help I know but I get it...sometimes life just sucks. Stay strong and remember the good times.

Some of BoogyMan's ashes will be spread over one of his absolute favorite places on the Stamp that we frequented so many times:

Another little bit goes into his own plant in the yard.
Small tradition we started, we collect a new-to-us variety, and grant it a little love from our wandered Buddy.
The Hydrangea in the background below was the one we chose for him.
His Rosewood Urn was finished in record time, and arrived today.
That will hold the balance until him and I wander off together sometime down the road.
Great job on the urn, and I can't thank the artist enough.
One of Forbsey's pix of Boogs is the centerpiece:

Again, thanks for the kind words Folks. They help & are certainly appreciated!

Another tough one today dealing with all of this, but I am starting to lean towards the great times we shared, and that helps...

Matt

Never easy! Your love for your animals shows the type of person you are. I think that says it all
