Default Year end

We had a good year this year , exceeded our catch from last year and learned alot about snaring .Total of 139 coyotes taken with 123 saleable hides. Eagles and mange did us no favors but glad that we only lost 16 hides . Heres a few pics of our catch ,all furs have either been sold or are at the fur depot now for the second sale . Had alot of fun with my son and partner KBF .Can hardly wait til next Dec to do it all again .

Great job and an excellent picture, but I preferred the old barn before you tinned it for pics. Guessing you had to have a writeoff for all that extra coin you harvested.

Barn was built in 05...1905 that is and needed a little TLC to keep the wind and rain out .. seems there is no end of where to spend ones income ..lol thanx Andy .

Thanx bud .. we dont start early either , Dec 1 til first week in Feb . .. I dont dare go earlier because of bird hunters and their dogs . Mange is a pain but birds is what really gets me . 4 wrecks is lucky I guess , I've heard of guys with much higher .

Haha the more you catch the more wrecks I suppose. no doubt its upsetting to drive up to a once nice coyote completely ruined.

I've seen the eagles tear em up but I'm starting to think the ravens are just as bad ,maybe worse . I sat at a cow carcass a couple times this winter and on one occasion I shot a coyote and he dropped 80 yds from the bait .. left him lay and planned on picking him up when I was done. An hr later a raven returned and circled the dead cow then spotted the coyote and went directly to it. Didnt hesitate at all and I had to chase him off and retrieve the coyote..
