Default 412 Grizzly on Trail Cam

Went up to check my cameras today in a little hidden patch in 412, was the first time checking them so wasn't even sure if they were going to be there..my first time purring cameras out in public land. I was sitting by the camera scrolling through the pics when I came across this one. Such a healthy beautiful bear, but I hope they go to sleep real soon.. Let's just say my head was on swivel for the rest of the evening.

He probably won't be going to sleep until late November after eating a few sleeping black bears. Then he'll be up and out and about near his den a few times throughout the winter to grab a snack. Anything else good on your camera? Simple yes or no is fine as you don't need to broadcast what you're finding. But are you finding what you're looking for is all
Good luck

While I don't hunt bear and have no interest in shooting one, they really need to open this season back up. Their population is not exactly exploding but they have healthy numbers and some hunting may rejuvenate a healthy fear or at least avoidance of humans. I know this particular pictured bear doesn't appear to be a nuisance bear or problem I'm just saying.

I know it can be difficult to estimate size from one photo, but the ears look pretty small on that bears head! If you shoot anything in that area, be extra careful when field dressing.

So far I've only seen does on the camera, and honestly I'm happy with that part. The cameras have only been up a week now. Bucks will come to visit those girls at some point in the future and for hunting a high pressure area like 412 I'm lucky to have found these doe bands. Don't love the idea of that grizz being there for a pic but I think I will tweak my approach but hang in. We all know they are there it just takes a few camera pics or a track or two to remind us who else shares the woods with us.

Seen a big Grizz while out there (412) a couple weekends back. It crossed the cut line I was walking about (about 200-300yards ahead). Had my rifle and he paid me no attention.. But needless to say I turned around and moved to a new area. Be careful out there!
