Default 352 elk

My dad, my brother and I went to 352 near the bevel and river last year for a few days and liked it, called a dumb young moose in from a long ways across the behrland river up to 150 yards didn't have a tag so we let him go.

Anyway this will be year one for elk and were hoping to do a week upthere more west of the zone. Anybody know if its a good elk location? My guess is no since its general, also it'll be heavily hunted by the time we make it. End of October.
Also correct me if I'm wrong but elk rut is between early to mid September and mid to late October? I've looked but people start talking about the moon and temperature, that's fine but a approximate date will help haha.

The rut is starting in a week or so and will last 2 weeks or so! Then in late oct the second rut will hit but not near as strong as the first rut.

We have had elk respond to our calls, and come in to us from Sept 1 to Oct 12.
but not a peep after that.

Good luck.

The last time I hunted 352(3 yrs ago) I heard an elk bugling Oct 3rd. Get near the rivers and you should find some elk......
