Default Sustenance Hunters kill possible book ram?

I was talkin with a friend from work today and he told me that a friend of his was out in his side by side this past weekend in 437 ( hes not a hunter) and came across a couple sheep hunters that were packing out a big ram. He offered to lend a hand and helped them pack it out on his machine. Upon talking to the two men it turned out that the one was a lawyer and the other also had a well paying gov't or professional job ( I don't remember exactly) but anyway, turns out they had no draw tag, but were métis and had takin a tremendous sustenance ram... I saw a picture but don't have it personally. The ram was tightly packed in a backpack and in the box of the fellas side by side and from what I could see was a beautiful, dark horned ram!

I don't feel that taking a trophy animal is sustenance hunting bynany means but I know everyone has their own opinion, some obviously biased because they too are métis but I think there needs to be a line drawn, I won't say where because that would start a war.

If anyone knows anymore info on this, feel free to share!

If they're Metis don't they have to be within 160km of a Settlement?

Like I said, everyone has their opinions. I'm not the type to stir up an imaginary storey. I'm simply posting this because it outrages me and I want to know how others feel about it or if anyone knows anymore to the storey.

It very well may outrage you but it's not true!!!!!! That's my point,, so you are stirring up stuff with an imaginary story and wondering how others feel about an imaginary story. It's not true,, if a ram was shot then it was shot by poachers,, be mad about that, not mad at a politition, a lawyer or a métis. Try being mad at the act and not fictitious people with imaginary titles or race that someone made up. It's called stirring crap any way you look at it.

The Mountain Métis are represented by Grande Cache Metis Local 1994.
Grande Cache is probably within 160 km. as the bird flies..

Small Boy's band was a break away band of the Ermineskin Cree Nation reserve near Hobbema. They went west in 1967 to give up reserve life and to live on traditional hunting grounds.

They are Cree, not Metis. Small Boys band have a totally different hunting status than The Metis.

Lets get some proof. These threads always pop up throughout the season. And 125% of the time head south before you can say.." subsistence "
