Default Stabilizer Selection

Hi all, picked up a Barnett Vortex for my son. There is some hand shock when firing. I am thinking to get a stabilizer to reduce this? Some help with what size and some cheap options would be appreciated!

I didn't feel like paying for a $100 item that might not work for me so I built one for $12 out of copper tubing. Stuffed it full of rubber bands, wrapped it in camo tape and put the useless 6" stabilizer that came with my bow on the end. Works like a charm.

Trophy ridge static stabilizer would do the trick. 6 or 8"

This I love to see. Good on you.

I just finished reading some threads that so quickly turn from the original topic into guys keyboard scrapping one another- it’s a joke.

It’s nice to see these kinds of threads, guys actually helping out other fellow hunters. Well done mate.

I was always kind of skepital about how much a stabilizer was really able to help. That was until I found the right one, wow what a difference! Big shout out to guys at Jim Bows up,here in Edmonton. They let me try as many as I needed till I found the right one. I ended up going with a 10” Beestinger, it costed a little more then I was planning spending but in the end made a big difference
