Lots of country he could have dropped in during those 24 hrs but he ended up shedding them both within a small area. I actually got pics of him carrying the single antler right at dusk yesterday.

I had that happen a few years ago except the buck held onto the one side for 5 days before he dropped it (had pics). When I found the set they were laying 10 yards apart at a fence crossing. Without the pics I would of thought he dropped them at the same time.
Nice finds guys!! Hoping to get out Sunday and add to my totals.

I have found this recently as well, my guess is the bucks will rub this time of the year in hopes of shedding their antlers?? just a guess

X2...I've been noticing quite a few fresh rubs...and I don't recall seeing this kind of activity this late in years past.
I have found them mostly right at the feeding areas...good sized rubs that needed more than a half-hearted attempt on the buck's part. The edges were still green and the shavings were on top of the snow that fell a couple days ago..
I went for a good walk today...found 3 more singles...including a nice heavy 5-pt side that should be 75-76". I still have to download the pics but will try to post later today...

Also have been seeing a large 2x2 hang around with bunch of does in recent two month, while other bucks have grouped away from them. and again today. So, I don't have a thought on the rubbing yet.

And the last one of the day is actually a shed from last year...half buried in the snow/ice. Almost left it as I had nothing to chip away the ice...but managed to extract it after 10 minutes of work by gouging with a big branch. Here's what I first saw...

im very jealous. I am still at zero despite being out 4 times. Everything I have seen are still carrying.
I will be hitting the trails hard this weekend with the family out of town. Fingers crossed I find something.

Excellent haul Mike W!
It's always nice finding sheds from deer you've seen or had pics from. Great for letting you know how accurate you were in your initial size estimates. And at the same time, it's fun to find sheds from a previously unknown buck...makes you wonder where he came from...

I was out west of Edmonton yesterday. Didn't find any yet and had a couple small whitetails on the cameras with antlers still on. Is anyone finding that the weather this year is changing the normal patterns?

Moose have been dropping for months where I'm at. Whitetail just started. And mules won't for another few weeks I'm betting.
