I am newer to hunting and to make a long story short I ended up with about 6 different tags last year, the majority of them I could not use where I bow hunt. I contacted Alberta Relm but did not recieve a answer yet.
My question is.
I am a bow hunter and I hunt in the bowzone (248) I am looking for one of the following. Antlered whitetail or antlered moose. Which tags would I need for bow opener on sept 1.

I was not sure if general was good for bow season as well as rifle.
With few exceptions (archery only zones)...there are no specific bow tags or rifle tags. Ensure the area you are hunting indeed has a season that is not on draw.
Easy peasy look up link find your game animal in far left block and in the far right column wmu listings find 248 , look to the left for the dates for the season, if no black square your good to use general tag. In this case Antlered and antlerless Sept 1 to Nov 30 for white, mule , moose and elk.
Its all there in the regulations. Read them over and over and over and over.
They will make sense once you get used to them.
